CSR “North-West” Foundation is an independent public institution. The Foundation conducts strategic research and provides expert recommendations on a wide range of social and economic issues.
Established in 2000 by Center for Strategic Research (Moscow), Baltika Breweries, OJSC Telecominvest, JS Bank “Rossiya”, The Public Corporation “Concern “Granite-Electron” the Foundation was aimed at promoting development of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the Northwest region as well as securing strategic advantages of the macro-region in national and global economies.
Later the geographical coverage of the Foundation’s projects was extended far beyond the boundaries of the Northwest region. At present the Foundation has provided research and consulting services for over 20 Russia’s regions.
The CSR “North-West” work is targeted primarily at decision-makers and those responsible for their implementation, as well as at expert and consulting groups, and project teams.
Among the Center’s partners are federal ministries and departments, regional and local administrations, public and research organizations, business structures.

The CSR "North-West" publishes the Russian Expert Review magazine (www.rusrev.org). RER provides highly qualified research on and analysis of a wide range of issues in Russian foreign and domestic policy, economy and business.
