Project aim: Elaboration of the strategy for development of Nefteyugansk until 2020 intended to ensure gradual improvement of the situation in economy and in social sphere of Nefteyugansk on the basis of rational use of the city’s natural resources as well as its social and economic potential. Priority directions for development envisaged by the strategy have to be coordinated with a number of already adopted strategic documents that determine directions for development of Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous District as a whole.
Project objectives:
- Evaluation of the current state of the city’s economy and social sphere with due regard to available raw material resources, natural resources, labor and industrial resources;
- Analysis of external factors that determine the city’s mission in the region and in the macro region;
- Evaluation of possible directions for development of Nefteyugansk’s economy in coordination with the Strategy for development of the District;
- Identification of stages and levers for implementation of the selected Strategy for development of Nefteyugansk;
- Evaluation of social and economic consequences of the implementation of the Strategy for development of Nefteyugansk;
