The CSR “North-West” has won the open competition to develop a concept and to prepare a feasibility study for establishment of a high tech technology park. The project has been commissioned by the Department for Investments, Science and Technologies of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KMAO) - Yugra.
The Foundation’s s experts are expected to evaluate the potential for development of high technologies in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. The concept will outline parameters, identify potential partners, investors and residents. The project also includes preparation of a feasibility study for creation of a high tech technology park.
The Foundation has vast experience of work with such efficient instruments for creation of new types of economic activity in the region as technoparks. In the process of elaboration of long-term development strategies for a number of regions with high potential for establishing high-tech manufacturing enterprises the Foundation has prepared recommendations for establishment of technoparks as mechanisms for creation of new types of economic activity in the region, in particular, in Kemerovskaya and Tyumenskaya oblasts where technoparks have already started to operate. Primorsky Krai is currently considering establishment of a biotechnopark. The Foundation has started elaboration of investment concepts for creation of technoparks. In September 2008 CSR “North-West” experts started work on preparation of the concept and feasibility study for two industrial parks in Voronezhskaya Oblast (“Maslovsky” and “Novoronezhsky” specializing in metal processing and mechanical engineering).
Tyumenskaya Oblast is a region where the Foundation has implemented several projects. In 2005 the CSR experts started work on development strategy for Surgut, a large administrative center of KMAO. The CSR experts are also working on the Concept for Complex Development of the Territory of “Zapadny” Neighbourhood Unit of Khanty-Mansiysk City commissioned by YugraInvestStroiProekt company. In December 2008 the CSR “North-West” won the open competition for the government contract for elaboration of long-term development strategy for the city of Nefteyugansk.
