The event was organized by Voronezh Oblast Administration and CSR “North-West”.
Deputy Voronezh Oblast Governor Leonid Selitrennikov made an address speech at the opening of the seminar. The plenary session included reports of CSR experts on macroeconomic situation in Russia, on prospects for development of markets important for business growth of the region and on the issues of regional budgets optimization in the situation of crisis.
The discussion-based part of the seminar was dedicated to evaluation of the consequences of the crisis for regional and municipal finance system, analysis of development risks and resources, setting priorities for economic and budget policy, making optimization decision.
The CSR “North-West” Foundation elaborated the long-term strategy for development of Voronezh Oblast adopted in November 2007 and continues its work in the region. CSR experts are currently working on investment concept and are undertaking feasibility study for creation of two industrial parks - Maslovsky and Novoronezhsky.
