The Seminar dedicated to elaboration of long-term strategy of social and economic development of the Saransk Urban District – the capital of the Republic of Mordovia – was held on 15-16 October, 2008.
The event was organized by the Saransk Government and by the strategy developer – CSR "North-West". Heads of municipalities and chiefs of the Urban District Government departments, representatives of companies and enterprises, cultural institutions, trade, HoReCa, building and financial branch companies.
Vladimir Sushkov, Head of the Saransk Urban District opened the discussion.
The project on elaboration the Saransk strategy started on June, 2008. That’s not a first case when the Foundation works in Mordovia. Earlier the CSR "North-West" experienced to develop the Long –term Strategy for the Republic of Mordovia. At the end of September, 2008 Republican Legislative assembly ratified the strategy.
